Gratitude in the Workplace

November tends to be a month of gratitude. Of course, there’s Thanksgiving to thank for that. However, there is also something to the holiday season altogether as the colder months force us to slow down for a bit and many of us lucky ones are given days off of work to gather with our loved ones. It’s easy to remember what we are thankful for when we are surrounded by food, family, and friends.

Let’s do the math: There are 40 hours in the average work week. That’s 23.81% of your entire week. If you have a healthy sleep schedule, 40 hours makes up about 35.71% of the time you are actually awake. The fact of the matter is work takes up a large chunk of your time. So, what are you thankful for when it comes to your job? 

Right off the bat, you might think of money and benefits, both of which are extremely valuable as that’s what keeps a roof over your head. However, what about the people. Your coworkers, your employees, your employer, your clients. All of these people contribute to keeping you in business and, if you are lucky, making your job a fun and happy environment to be in.
